ASSISTANT MANAGER PRODUCTION-PIA-Karachi
VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Pakistan International Airline (PIA) invites application from dedicated and qualified professionals having experience in production / recording and negotiating arrangements for audio / video entertainment / movies, for the following 02 positions in the In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) Section of Flight Services Department. The ideal candidate should have the following credentials / expertise.
A. ASSISTANT MANAGER PRODUCTION (IFE)
QUALIFICATIONS:
2nd Division / B Grade Graduation from a recognized University / Institution. Higher qualification will be given preference.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING COURSES:
The incumbent should be able to handle audio / video Recording Equipment. Should be a computer literate and have the skills in the field of In-Flight Entertainment system.
EXPERIENCE:
At-least 03 years handling / planning of In-Flight Entertainment / Audio / Video programs. OR 10 years flying as Cabin Crew in senior cadre.
MAJOR DELIVERABLES:
* Manage and arrange the collection of IFE program video cassettes from vendors.
* Manage compilation of local content program, duplication in different format to supply on board the aircraft and ensure to maintain the quality of IFE video programs.
B. EDITOR / LIBRARIAN (AUDIO / VIDEO)
QUALIFICATIONS:
2nd Division / B Grade Graduation from a recognized University / Institution. Qualifications in the field of Library Science will be given preference.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING / COURSES:
Specialized training in audio/video catalogues and archiving from recognized Institution.
EXPERIENCE:
At-least 02 / 03 years experience in developing / maintaining audio / video catalogues and archives, OR 08 years flying as Cabin Crew.
SKILLS / SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Communication Skills
* Computer Literate
MAJOR DELIVERABLES:
* To maintain proper inventory of all used, new and master IFE audio / video programs cassettes.
* Editing and duplication of programs in different format of video cassettes.
Maximum Age for the above 02 positions: 40 years as on 01.09.2007
Successful candidates will be offered market competitive salary and benefits. They will be hired on contract for 05 years (extendable on the basis of performance).

I have passed intermediate exam in 2nd Division....
Now, i m doing BCS from Karachi University....
