EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR-SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION-Islamabad
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
In its ongoing endeavor to provide effective services, SECP is seeking to attract high caliber professionals to take up and achieve its objectives. This initiative is aimed at consolidating SECP’s presence to further enhance its effectiveness for playing a proactive role in interfacing with key market players, intermediaries and other stakeholders to improve the regulatory regimes applicable to various market constituents.
The Securities Market Division is responsible for regulating all aspects of securities market, including licensing and coordination, public offerings, market intermediaries investigation, enforcement, market surveillance and policymaking. It also provides protection to investors and orderly dealings in securities.
Towards this end, SECP is seeking to attract high caliber professionals to take up the challenging position of Executive Director = Securities Market in its Islamabad Office.
The Executive Director will be a key member of the senior management of the Commission and would be part of the management team responsible for discharging the SECP mandate and achieving its vision. He will essentially for responsible for regulating the Stock Exchange – Monitoring & Surveillance of the Exchanges and investigation & Enforcement there of, National Commodity Exchange Limited, Central Depository Company, National Clearing Company Limited and developing the Debt Capital Market.
The person we are looking for should have the following profile:
The ideal candidate should be a qualified accountant, CFA or masters degree in a business related discipline with 15+ years experience in capital market related business in top / senior management positions. Prior experience of handling regulatory work will be an added advantage while exposure to equity market transactions, automated trading / settlement, fund / risk management, on-site and off-site inspections / audits forensic accounting, is desirable.
The individual should be a strong relationship builder, confident at senior levels who is able to challenge and articulate opinions succinctly & persuasively and must be comfortable in working in an automated work environment.
