PROJECT DIRECTOR
INSURANCE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
National Insurance Company Limited is seeking to recruit at a senior management position, qualified and task oriented candidates to lead the effort in the financial analysis and structuring of its National Schemes and related Product Development in Crop Insurance, Micro Insurance, Healthcare etc. The principal responsibilities of the incumbent will include:
* A comprehensive analysis of financial resources available with NICL and global reinsurance markets in relation to funding of these new insurance ventures.
* Review of the administrative, institutional and legal frame work required for the implementation of these projects and possible private sector participation.
* Recommending measures that should be taken by NICL to address and fix constraints, limitations and bottlenecks in the financial supply chain.
* Recommending financial, commercial and institutional frame work required for the implementation of these projects.
* Analysis of risk allocation and development of an appropriate risk profile for the projects.
* Liaising with financial and legal advisors for each project and coordinate their work.
* Take the lead in interacting, discussing and negotiating with relevant stake holders including the relevant Ministries, Government institutions, DFIs, commercial banks, underwriters, financial advisors etc.
* Perform such other tasks assigned by the CEO as may become necessary.
The candidate for the above assignment should have relevant academic as well as adequate work experience in the insurance sector and meet the following criteria and qualifications.
CRITERIA AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Well-qualified professionals of integrity and competence with a minimum of fifteen (15) years experience and accredited postgraduate professional degree from a reputable institution in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related discipline.
* Successful and verifiable experience with proven record of achievements in general insurance business/institutions with regard to R&D, technical and product knowledge.
* Background and knowledge of Agro-economics and rural sector in Pakistan will be considered as additional qualification.
* A demonstrable record of increasing progressive responsibility and leadership.
* Experience in project management and drafting of project documents and Agreements.
* Knowledge of corporate affairs and regulatory design and frame work.
* Proficiency in computer preparing presentations and communication skills.
* Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Must be a good manager who is driven and proactive.
EMOLUMENTS & TENURE:
Very attractive salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a senior management position and the selected candidate will be reporting directly to the Chief Executive of the Company and the Board of Directors. Appointment will be for an initial term of three years (with an initial probationary period of 3 months), and shall be eligible for further reappointment upon satisfactory performance.
