CAREER OPPORTUNITIS
Magnus Investment Advisors Limited (the Company) is a Non-Banking Finance Company licensed to operate as an Investment Advisor. Our business philosophy enshrines a unique partnership approach between professionals (providers of intellectual capital) and shareholders (providers of financial capital) – applicants should note our “Business Philosophy” stated below. We also provide an excellent platform for acquiring globally marketable sophisticated investment expertise in an intellectually rich environment. The Company is seeking applicants for the following positions:
OFFICERS:
There is a vacancy each for a Vice President and Manager with a minimum work experience of four and two years respectively. The candidates must have an excellent academic background in finance or accounting with proficiency in spoken and written English. Preference will be given to candidates that have work experience with blue chip companies (even if such companies are not in financial services). We are seeking high quality candidates that have solid grasp of financial theory & accounting and are proficient in English language even though they may not have practical work experience in investment management.
APPRENTICES:
The Company’s apprenticeship program extends over six months and entails rigorous training in financial theory and practices. Preference will be given to candidates that have a strong academic background in statistics, mathematics, econometrics or engineering as well as good command of English language. Candidates that do well in the apprenticeship program could be offered positions as permanent employees. This is an excellent opportunity for candidate not from the accounting and finance backgrounds to make a career in the field of investments, investment research and portfolio management.
Our Business Philosophy encapsulates
1) upholding highest standard of ethics with all stakeholders – profits are secondary to this objective.
2) structurally aligning the economic interest of permanent employees and shareholders as a partnership without ambiguity. The cash dividend to shareholders will equal cash bonus to a permanent employees. Any employee who is also a shareholder or related to a shareholder will not be entitled to the employee bonus pools,
3) In-depth knowledge of relevant SECP regulations and CFA Institute guidelines by every officer – we have a “zero tolerance’ policy for non-compliance,
4) focus on continuous learning and education – obtaining CFA Charter is critical for high performance rating and
5) self drive and self motivation – ability to perform on a daily basis with minimal supervision.
